A few days ago we made Taiwanese boiled white chicken with spring onion sauce 蔥油雞. This is a very popular dish in Taiwan street food and day markets, so convenient and can be eaten, as prepared hot or refrigerated and eaten cold. Using the same base of boiled chicken Joanne also makes a spicy alternative which we present to you here, white chicken in spicy sauce 口水雞 (椒麻雞) Taiwan style.
The ingredients for this dish are;
- 2 pieces cooked chicken
- spring onion,
- chilli, ginger,
- garlic, sugar,
- white pepper, red pepper, and chilli seeds,
- coriander and soy sauce
- a splash of rice wine,
- vinegar and sesame oil
