King prawns sticky rice 紅蝦米糕 is another very traditional Taiwanese New Year dish. Why not have it alongside the 封雞 Confit Chicken we cooked last time? If you like the taste of the sea this rice will be very appealing for you and your family. I’ve made it not too heavy because of all the other rich food on the table during New Year!

The ingredients 食材 for 6 people;
- 18 king prawns
Ingredients
- sliced belly pork
- 2.5 bowls of sticky (glutinous) rice
- Sesame oil
- ginger slices.
- +Dried: shrimp, onion, mushroom and octopus.

How to cook sticky rice? You use 2.5 cups of sticky rice with 2.5 cups of water. That’s all? People said that sticky rice should be put at least 24 hours in water.
I cooked in rice cooker, but it failed!
