Joanne teaches you to prepare and cook a Goose from the Frozen bird to delicious Taiwanese Street Food! It’s quite easy and today she gives instructions in English and Chinese. Now is the time to buy a goose in the UK as the supermarkets have them in stock in the run up to Xmas.
The video, below, is very important to watch. Preparing the Goose requires good work with a chopper and scissors. Joanne has 3 large pieces of goose for the boiling pot and leaves the crown for a traditional roast. Today you will see not the roast (basically shove it in the oven) but the boiling of the goose to make the traditional Taiwanese street food goose meat dish.
- One whole goose
- A piece of fresh crushed ginger
- 2tbsp rice wine
- oyster sauce
- soy sauce
- sesame oil
- goose stock
- spring onion
- and chilli (if you like)
