Here’s another very testy traditional Taiwanese Food that is popular all around the beautiful island! It’s heavy on the seafood flavour, as you can see from the ingredients – lots of fish.

Fish cake roll 自製雞卷(魚卷) ingredients
- 1.5Kg white fish – we used cod & seabass
- 0.5Kg pork mince
- 3 chopped water chestnuts,
- 2 eggs
- spring onion
- 2tbsp sugar
- 2tbsp tapioca flour
- dried onion powder
- half tbsp: salt, fish powder, white pepper, baking powder.
- rice wine
- soya paper
- Dip: lemon, mayo, mustard.

Above you can see that once the fish cake was prepared Joanne cooked two of the rolls. One was pan fried whole, the other was sliced and then pan fried. We prefer the sliced method for extra tasty crispiness!
