Crispy Chinese Chive Twists 炸韭菜條 Vegetarian Taiwan Street Food

Joanne has grown quite a lot of Chinese Chives in the garden so wanted to show you another recipe with these great oniony vegetables in. We previously used them in the fried Oyster and chive rice cakes. This time the ingredients are much more simple; you have the chives, a better to cook them crispy in and a dipping sauce. Again, this is a popular Street Food in Taiwan – but this one is vegetarian friendly! It’s easy to make with the only tricky thing might be rolling up your chives into a nice tight twist before you batter and fry them. Joanne shows how to do that very clearly in the video.
